Av. Dr. Serdar KARABABA, a solicitor and barrister of Istanbul Bar Association and a qualified lawyer for over twenty years, has been our Office's founding partner since 2007. Dr. Karababa had been invited to the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London as a visiting scholar to conduct his academic research particularly on International Investment Law and International Arbitration besides International Economic Law and Commercial Law. He holds a Ph.D. degree on Commercial Law from University of İstanbul and had an experience as a visiting at Umea University/Sweeden, School of Law. Dr. Karababa have experiences as a part-time/senior university lecturer and legal trainer at different universities and institutions. His researches are mainly focused on investor protection in the context of financial transactions, takeovers, cross border trade and various fields of international private, commercial law and economic law.

KARABABA’nın uzmanlık alanları Sermaye Piyasası Hukuku, Uluslararası & Türk Ticaret ve Şirketler Hukuku başta olmak üzere, Bankacılık ve Finans Hukuku, Borçlar Hukuku, Enerji Hukuku, Dava ve Tahkim, Birleşme-Devralma-Bölünme, Yeniden Yapılanma, Vergi Hukuku, Menkul Kıymetler Hukuku, Fikri ve Sınâi Mülkiyet (Marka-Patent) Hukuku, İş Hukuku, Rekabet Hukuku, Tüketici Hukuku’dur.

KARABABA, bir süre İstanbul Adliyesi Ticaret ve Ceza Mahkemelerinde akademisyen sıfatıyla bilirkişilik yapmıştır. KARABABA’ nın yayımlanan çeşitli kitap ve makalelerinin yanı sıra üniversite ve çeşitli kurumlarda vermiş olduğu hukuk dersleri ve seminerlerine ait yayımlanmayan akademik notları da bulunmaktadır. Yabancı dilleri iyi derecede İngilizce ve başlangıç seviyesinde Almancadır.

KARABABA, Queen Mary, University of London Uluslararası Tahkim Okulu Mezunları ve Dostları Derneği – AFSIA, Londra Türkiye İş ve Profesyonel Ağ Platformu gibi birçok uluslararası kuruluşun aktif üyesidir.

He received the doctorate degree on fiscal law from University of Marmara. He had an experience as assistant of custom advisor, accounting specialist till passing through to audit sector. He worked as an auditor and “tax law advisor” in a CPA company for five years. He served on a lot of transfer pricing studies and reporting in multinational companies. He has been working on tax law at public finance department of economics and administrative sciences at faculty of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University as an “associate professor”. He had an experience at Washington College of Law, American University as a visiting fellow on international tax law in 2011. He has a number of articles on tax law and accountant in miscellaneous journals, magazines, periodicals besides his two books; “Juristic and Fiscal Guide For Apartments and Sites” (6th edition), “Proof and Evidence in Turkish Tax Law”. His expertise fields are tax procedure, tax collection, tax rules, transfer pricing, tax lawsuit, tax controversy, tax system and international taxation.
